Women’s Health

Family planning and contraception advice is available, as well as menopausal advice including Hormone Replacement Therapy.

Breast examinations are provided and breast self-examination is taught. It is recommended that all women have an annual breast examination by a doctor, and examine their own breasts every month. All women over 50 should have a mammogram every two years, which can be arranged by your doctor.

Cervical screening has changed in Australia. The Pap test has been replaced with a new Cervical Screening Test every five years. Speak to your GP to find out how this affects you.

We also offer shared care with the Mercy Hospital, Box Hill Hospital and the Royal Women’s Hospital for antenatal care during pregnancy.
